Guide for Residential Projects

 During the planning stage of any project it is recommended that you contact South Central Michigan Construction Code Inspections to determine if a permit is needed. The office is located at:

Every spring/summer new pools crop up in the Village with the advent of warm weather, especially since the cost of above ground pools have come down dramatically in recent years. Unfortunately, Village residents do not realize that there are specific codes that must be adhered to when adding a pool to their property.  Every year many children die or are seriously injured nationwide/statewide when they have access to a pool because an enclosure was not constructed or constructed improperly.

One additional reminder for Village residents is the code requirement for pool owners to obtain an annual operational permit. Those operational permits must also be obtained from the South Central MIchigan Construction Code Inspection at the above noted location in Caro.
