Summer has arrived and many Cass City residents have opened their private pools while others have purchased new above ground pools, which in recent years have become much more affordable than in the past. However, many residents are not aware that a permit must first be obtained for not only installing a new pool on one's property, but also a yearly operational permit needs to be obtained for existing pools within the Village of Cass City. These codes apply to all pools with a water depth that exceeds 18" (eighteen inches)

 

All permits must be obtained at South Central Michigan Construction Code Inspections, 1309 Cleaver Road, Suite A, Caro, MI 48723. Their telephone number is (989) 672-3750.

 

This notice is also to remind Cass City Village residents of the need for permits prior to starting any building/remodeling projects.
